Indeed, love is an essential element of the Global Cleanup Games. Yet one of the posters brings up protests. While environmental protests are sometimes necessary throughout the world, the GCG does not recommend them as a first-line solution to oppose trash. Why? First, this is a sport. And then, opt to use your energy to uplift and inspire others. A protest is like a fight or war — if it isn’t needed, let’s choose love, creativity, and playfulness under the umbrella of eco-edu-action. These are the natural forces that give birth to progress.
