Indeed, the mechanism is collective effort, collective playfulness, and intelligence — coming together to solve a collective problem — all made possible today due to the Internet.

This website offers a scaffolding for people to start playing, such as a few key upgrade-concepts you’ll discover in both tiers.

Then, participants create scenarios that fit their circumstances, and they can also share and submit rules, opinions, testimonials, ideas, videos, progress noticed, etc. They'll do this via Discord (or Telegram) channel, coming soon, or by sending a message through the Stay Updated form, found in the upper right corner.

The best way to gauge progress is by observing that the implemented upgrades are alive and well, usually reflected by certain parameters easy to recognize on the World Wide Web (both Tiers offer details on that). Locally, players who do cleanups may notice improvements in their surroundings, and increased interest coming from their peers. Globally, we hope to have Trash Olympics by 2028!
