🕊️ Peaceful Personal Eco-Progress
Here comes one more poster made by a college student from Bermuda, this time addressing the 1 in 8 billion question: "If you were one in eight billion — and you are — what new, very simple 'eco-thing' would you do starting tomorrow or next week, to be kinder to the planet?" Great answer: "Starting this week, I'll cut down on single-use plastics by carrying a reusable water bottle and shopping bag everywhere I go… Real love for Earth begins with everyday choices."
Another photo shows Earth Bingo in the making. New Yorkers played a modified version of Bingo – which is something fun that can be done in class. Each time a person pulls out a Bingo ball, they think of one small eco-action in response to the 1 in 8 bi11ion question, which will be attached to that number from then on. This is an engaging way to create, together, a list of simple eco-upgrades most of us could do. Students can then pick one form of peaceful, personal eco-progress from an extensive list, and even continue adding more actions over time, since the process is playful rather than a forced task.
