🎮 What Is This?

This is the Trash Athlete Challenge. A simple 30-day micro-game where your small daily micro-cleanups create real impact both locally and globally. It is also the tutorial level of the Global Cleanup Games 🌍. Forgot one day or more? No worries! Scroll to find out what to do if that happens. You don’t need experience… you already have it — and you're ready to start 😃! One piece of trash. One day at a time. Let's play!

🎯 Your Daily Mission

Every day, for 30 days, you just do this: • 🗑️ Pick up 1 piece of litter → dry, not wet*.• 🚮 Throw it away properly.• 📸 Take ONE photo or video (NO after image needed unless you want to.)• 🌍 Post it online → do regular posts that remain visible, not stories or status updates = they help you keep track of the days. That’s all. No pressure. Just one small action, 30 seconds at a time. And one image. Micro-cleanups do not require after photos. (If you do a larger cleanup, feel free to include one.) Each day you do it, you keep the game alive! *To safely grab it, reuse an old piece of paper. Or get into the habit of saving candy wrappers/ anyhting else that will do the job while you are doing this daily micro-cleanups challenge.

#️⃣ The Secret Weapon: Daily Hashtag to Track Progress

This challenge has one feature that makes it different from every other online challenge. Instead of using the exact same hashtag each day, you use one customized hashtag every day. Only change the date in the very simple formula → e.g. #TrashMob2026Jul05 📅 How it works: Format: #TrashMob + Year + Month (3 letters) + Day (2 digits) → #TrashMob2026Aug08 This lets everyone — including you — follow your journey day by day simply by looking at your hashtags. It becomes your public scorecard → to track progress → do posts, not vanishing stories or status updates. Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec 2. Also include: #GlobalCleanupGamesOrg It brings new players here → they can read details, including how to graduate this challenge. Attention → the hashtag contains NO dot in front of Org. Learn more about Trash Mobs in Tier 1 and Tier 2, One Click section. 3. If you want to spread the game in your community, also include the community's name as a hahstag.

📋 Copy This with Your Post & Share

Use this template for your first post: 🌱 Today, I am starting the Trash Athlete Challenge! One piece of trash picked up daily for 30 days, and I'll post about it! Join me anytime to also become a Trash Athlete! Always use two hashtags: (1) A daily hashtag: #TrashMob2026Jul05 → match the date with the day of your daily post (3-letter month, 2-digit day). (2) And #GlobalCleanupGamesOrg → takes others to the website, to learn how to redeem the title. Copy this post (adjust the date) OR, if you prefer, simply post your photo and the two hashtags. After day 1 intro, you can just post a daily image only with the hashtags (feel free to add your thoughts). You can keep a status update for 30 days (or profile info), letting others know you've joined the Trash Athlete challenge. 🌍 Why this matters: Every post is a signal. You’re not just cleaning up. You’re showing everyone the game exists. Think of it this way → before becoming a Trash Athlete, you're an Eco-Cheerleader 😉 .

🥽 You Can't Pick Up Litter, But Want to Join?

No problem. Choose one option: 📲 Use the Augmented Reality Trash feature → click here. (Also check Tier 1, Level 1, Augmented Reality Surprise.) 📸 Or simply post a sentence about your intention and join the streak with the hashtags. If the platform requires a photo (such as Instagram) → reuse an old one, take one from the Internet, or use the AR link from above. 🌍 The rule is simple: If you show up, you’re in the game. 💡 Why this exists: This challenge is about consistency and meaning → those carrying the Olympic torch don't do a great effort, but the gesture is great.

🎁 Bonus Missions & Extra Points

There are more ways to play and increase your impact: 📱 Post on multiple platforms = more visibility. 🌍 Share the challenge = invite new players. 🔁 Maintain your daily streak = build momentum. 🏆 Extra impact rule: Each platform you post on (same photo okay) = one extra point for the planet. If you share it on more platforms, make sure you are consistent on one → easier to check your progress (the daily hashtags) when you scroll through your posts. Learn about the points in Tier 1, Level 1. More sharing = more awareness = bigger movement. 😇 Heaven on Earth Points = More H.O.E.P, more HOPE → What matters is that: The correct daily hashtag next to the post = 1 H.O.E.P. Each social media platform you post on = 1 H.O.E.P. The micro-cleanup itself = 1 H.O.E.P. If you do this while you travel = double the final number on that day 🌱 Remember: Small, quick actions multiply when people see them. You’re not supposed to be alone in this game. … And you aren't, for as long as you play.

🔮 Every Great Game Has a Second Chance

Missed a day? You’re still in the game. Do not quit! Just like life, games are more fun when players get a second chance. Continue with your daily challenge WHILE making up for each missed day using your special Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Card. ♟️ The Get-Out-of-Jail Card If your hashtag dates ever show a gap, you can repair it using your Get-Out-of-Jail Card = a different type of post, described below, in another text box. For example, you notice that Aug 07 is followed by Aug 09. Recover the missing day by making the back-up post WHILE you carry on with the daily challenge. Missed two days? No worries → continue by adding another make-up post the following day. If you miss more than three days within one third of the challenge (Days 1–9, 10–19, or 20–30), consider restarting that section. (E.g. If 4 days are missed between days 20 and 30, start fresh from day 20.) It may take a little longer, but you can still become a Trash Athlete! This means: You don’t lose your journey. You don’t lose your progress. You just keep going. 🌱 The rule is simple: Progress matters more than perfection.

🎲 Yes... This Is Supposed to Feel Like a Board Game

You've noticed. Good! Because that’s exactly the idea. Every daily micro-cleanup is one move. Every hashtag is another square on the board. Every completed day brings you closer to unlocking your title.

🏆 Congratulations!

After completing 30 consecutive daily micro-cleanups (or more), you’ve earned the title: 🌍 Trash Athlete!

👑 Your Coronation

To complete your coronation, you do a few final things: (1) → 🌱 Make a good wish for Earth.(2) → 🎴 Play your final Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Card. Yes — even if you've never missed a day. Because this final move is not a penalty. This card is truly versatile → This is your graduation mission! Next text box reveals it 🔮 . (3) And how about an optional graduation party? Invite people to your Graduation Cleanup (regular, longer session). Or make it a personal affair, between you and the planet — no guests. Even 5-10 minutes will do (e.g. a tree bed).

🗝️ The Final Mission

Your Get-Out-of-Jail-Free Card transforms into something much bigger: 👉 The petition to make Trash Pickup an officially recognized Olympic sport! This is your final mission. Sign it. Share it. Details in Tier 2, One Click and One Chat. Every signature & share pushes the idea into real-world conversation, and action will follow. If you used it to make up for missed days, you can only sign once, but you can still share it multiple times. Even if Trash Pick Up doesn’t appear officially in the Los Angeles 2028 Games, we build momentum for 2032. Big ideas don’t start big. They start when people decide to begin discussing them.

🌍 What Is a Trash Athlete?

In a way, everyone who picks up litter is already one. But finishing this challenge wins you the title, and it means something more: (1) You trained for at least 30 days.(2) You showed up consistently.(3) You were persistent.(4) You inspired others. And you proved something simple: (5) Healing the planet doesn’t always require giant actions. (6) Sometimes… It starts with just one person, picking up one piece of litter at a time!

🌱 See You on Day 1

→ Mission 1, here you come! → If you like being an eco-cheerleader, do more than one round! Actually… this is exciting → click on the next text box! → E-certificates will be available soon. Players can engage their communities in diploma-drawing activities; please share them with us.

💝 The Eco-Friendly Gift That Keeps on Giving

If you'd like to be an Eco-Cheerleader for more than one round, you know what to do! And then, gift every title you've earned: Maybe your grandmother resents litter but can't bend down easily. Surprise her! Maybe a friend's birthday is coming up, and you're looking for an original, personal, and meaningful gift. Or simply give it away—no special occasion needed. Surprise a litterbug — why not? → After completing the 30-Day Online Challenge, tag the recipient of your gift in a post, or send them an email or text message. → If you're gifting the title to someone who is physically able, include this message, inviting them to complete the challenge on their own: "I gift you the title of Experimental Trash Athlete (ETA). What's your ETA* to becoming a real Trash Athlete on your own?" *ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival): The predicted time when you are expected to reach your destination, based on your current location, speed, and route. It is an internationally recognized term widely used in GPS navigation, shipping and logistics, aviation and maritime transport, public transportation, business and everyday communication. Or use this alternative: "I gift you the title of Experimental Trash Athlete (ETA). Now let's see what your ETA is before you become a Trash Athlete on your own!"
